Good to know

When to go

March–May and September–November are ideal; summer is hot (100°F+ on canyon floors) and busy, though the shuttle keeps the main canyon moving. Winter is mild by comparison and beautifully quiet, with some high-country closures.

Camping around Zion

Campgrounds near the south entrance sit walking distance from the shuttle and sell out months ahead for spring and fall. Springdale's commercial parks add hookups and hot showers a shuttle stop from the gate.

Delivery vs. towing here

Springdale-area delivery is common — the town's shuttle makes car-free park days realistic once the trailer is parked. Watch for the Zion–Mount Carmel tunnel restrictions if you self-tow a taller rig on the east-side approach.

Zion trailer rental FAQ

Do I need reservations for Zion camping?

For spring through fall, effectively yes — book the campground and the trailer as soon as your dates firm up. Winter has real walk-up availability.

Anything to know about towing into Zion?

The east-entrance tunnel has size restrictions requiring escorts for larger vehicles. Most trailer guests approach via Springdale on the south side — or skip towing entirely with a delivery listing.
